Guitar of the Week Program at American Music Supply

I'm sure many of you out there already know about Gibson USA Guitar of the Week Program. It has been going on for some time now - I don't know exactly when it started but whatever the case they have like already 23 weeks worth of guitars.... wait.. I'm an idiot.. that means they started 23 weeks ago.. uhhhg.

Okay.. that's not the point..

The guitar of the week program puts out a custom guitar every week that is only produced in a limited run of 400. These guitars are really special and will most definitely turn into collectors items. OKAY

Well American Music Supply has many of the guitars available for purchase.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because AMS has a great program where they will let you pay for things in payments with no penalty or extra cost. They will simply just cut your full balance into payments and bill you the payment each month.

What this means is you can get a CUSTOM SUPREME LES PAUL for only 5 EASY Payments of $600.00 Plus $99.95 Down Not a bad deal.. Otherwise that $3099.95 guitar would put a pretty bad dent in anyones pocket.

AMS payment plan starts on items around 100.00 so you can get 2 months with payments of only 50 bux.

Gibson Guitars of the week average around 2000.00 and top out at 3ish, but they certainly are pretty guitars

Microphone Test

Over the weekend I started doing tests on my microphones. I am completely angry at the lack of audio tests of music gear. So in response to my angst I will be putting up a series of test of different microphones and gear that I have. I'll be posting them very soon.

Ibanez Artcore A75

I went to Guitar Center the other day because they had some really good deals on Epiphone Les Pauls. I set down and started to test some of the guitars out. Of course all the Les Pauls were fine. Sounded good and were as fun as usual. As I was testing out the guitars I wanted to test another guitar in order to keep a good bias , so I picked up an Ibanez Artcore hollow body.

Granted this was my first hollow body experience, but it was amazing. The guitar was really good looking and very light compared with the Les Pauls. The sound was much mellower but that was to be expected since it was hollow, but I was really impressed by how jangly and bright the guitar could sound with the humbuckers selected properly. The tone of the guitar was awesome and the feel was impeccable. I was instantly impressed by the quality of the guitar. IT was very much worth the money ($350 USD)

After trying out all the Les Pauls and such the Artcore was the only one that really had me wishing I had the extra money.

If you can get the chance, definitely try one out.
